On March 26th, 2025, the 75th session of the "Northeast Asia Academic Forum" hosted by the School of Northeast Asia Studies was held in Room 1811 of Nanchen Building. Prof. Zhao Minghao,Deputy Director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, was invited to deliver an academic lecture titled "The Impact of Trump 2.0 and the Trend of Sino-US Strategic Game". The lecture was moderated by Prof. Zhang Jingquan, vice dean of the School of Northeast Asia Studies.

Prof.Zhao reviewed the multiple realistic factors of Trump's victory in combination with classic film and television works and personal real cases, and interpreted in detail the three key words of Trump’s governance. In response to Trump's economic policies, he focused on analyzing the strategies related to tariffs based on detailed data, emphasizing the strategic role of tariffs, and analyzed the drawbacks of his economic policies from four aspects in combination with the realities of the United States. After reviewing the four critical moments in the Sino-US relations, he analyzed the trend of the Sino-US strategic game in the Trump 2.0 era from four dimensions: economic and trade, technological competition, geopolitical security, and ideology, and proposed specific measures torespond tothe impact of Trump. In the interactive session, Prof. Zhao and the participating teachers and students had a heated discussion on topics such as the transfer of the Sino-US game to a third party.
Zhao Minghao, deputy director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, professor and doctoral supervisor. He was selected for the national leading talent project and holds academic positions such as the special researcher at the Institute of International and Strategic Studies at Peking University. His main research areas are Sino-US relations and international security. He has published more than 60 papers in Chinese and English core journals such as World Economics and Politics, and has published books such as The US Competitive Strategy towards China and Its Impact on the Belt and Road Initiative. He has also presided over major projects of the National Social Science Fund and provincial and ministerial-level projects.
