From December 18 to 21, 2024, the delegation of the School led by Professor Liu Changming, Dean of the School was invited to visit Senshu University, Japan. During the visit,Liu Changming had academic discussions with the heads of the Institute for Social Science and the School of Economics of Senshu University, and exchanged views on deepening cooperation and signing cooperation agreements between the two sides.

At the Institute for Social Science,Liu Changmingheld a discussion with Professor Jun Oya, the president of the Institute, Professor Hidefumi Ohashi, a famous expert on China issues in Japan, and Professor Yoshihiro Fukushima, a famous expert on social geography. Liu Changming briefly introduced the history of the School of Northeast Asia Studies, its academic layout and international exchanges. Jun Oyabe hoped to take this opportunity to establish a close cooperative relationship and a regular exchange mechanism between the two institutions. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views and reached consensus on matters such as deepening academic exchanges, mutual visits between teachers and students, and signing cooperation agreements in the future.

At the Graduate School of Economics, Liu Changming had a discussion with Professor Sakaguchi Akiyoshi and Professor Xu Yirui. Akiyoshi Sakaguchi briefly introduced the history and disciplines of the Graduate School, as well as its advantageous fields. Liu Changming said that the two sides have extensive commonality in discipline development, scientific research, student cultivation, etc.He sincerely invited experts and scholars from the Graduate School of Economics to visit the School of Northeast Asia Studies at their convenience to strengthen exchanges and interactions.
